About ZWAD

Zeliangrong Welfare Association, Delhi (ZWAD) is a registered organization established in the year 2006 as a non-profit, non-political, non-communal, non-sectarian organization with solemn aims and objectives to improve, develop and promote socio-economic, education, culture, environment, games and sports, human rights, health, agriculture and horticulture, science & technology and water for Zeliangrong people and other backward or underprivilege communities like ST/SC, OBC and minorities irrespective of their races, cultures, languages, castes or creeds/religions, etc. To attain or fulfill these, the association engages in conducting seminars, workshops, training, symposia, camps, campaigns, conferences, debates, sports meet, socio-cultural meetings, exhibitions on various topics/issues, etc. The association also collaborates with state and central governments, voluntary organizations, financial & research institutions, and foreign funding agencies, institutions, or governments for the attainment of the same goal along with other things/acts/activities that are deemed necessary or conducive in achieving its aims and objectives. The Association's area of operation is concentrated in Delhi and the National Capital Region until the requirement for expansion arises.
